Ibanez SRX690EX Electric Bass
The Ibanez SRX690EX offers great sound and looks. With a quilted maple top and a speedy Soundgear neck, the Ibanez SRX690EX is a fine choice.

"C.4 Plastique = BLOWN Away!!!"
Like I said before...me and "Ashe" are going into the Other World together!!
Sound
This is the ULTIMATE bass! This baby has it all, the looks, the feel, but best of all?...it's got the SOUND! It's got the benefit of being able to "fit" into any sized hole...whether it's metal, jazz, blues, rock, country, and even some ethnic styles! I've used this through a solid state amp and it shakes the Earth! When I used it through my hybrid tube-solid state amp, it just OOZES that classic bass tone, round, thick, warm, fuzzy, solid! And when I turn up the heat with rock / alternative / metal...this bad boy kicks a**! You can't find a BETTER bas for THIS PRICE ANYWHERE!!!
Features
The neck on this bass is BUTTER! You might forget you're actually playing a bass and try to bend some notes up!..LoL! It's THAT smooth! And the frets were excellent.
Ease of Use
I used this bass with NO effects! And I nailed the sound I was after every time! All I did was dial in a "starter" tone, and worked it until it was perfect! I've NEVER been able to do that with a bass guitar...EVER!!!
Quality
I mean.....HELLO!!?....It's IBANEZ! 'nuff sed!!
Value
This one's getting BURIED with me! I'm TAKING this into the After-Life!!
Manufacturer Support
Since I've never had to call them I'm giving them a 10.....only because their company made such a great instrument that they're not needed!!!
The Wow Factor
This bass IS sexy, the smooth yet wavy lines of the quilted maple top, the charcoal transparent finish, the smooth and flawless necks & frets, and finally the humbuckers that give you everything from melloe and mild to ferocious & wild!

"Great Bass! Awesome Sound! Play this Bass!"
This is going to be my performance and recording bass for quite a while! I have fallen in love with Ibanez and this bass solidifies that feeling. It's going to take a hell of a deal and a great amount of proof to get me away from Ibanez.
Sound
I play country, southern rock, & blues all for the same band and I have found that playing this bass straight into the amp (Ampeg SVT3-PRO) delivers beautiful sound for each style.
Features
Absolutely gorgeous!
Ease of Use
I love playing this bass. I've played Peavy Fury (way back in the day)and a couple of pawn shop special basses, as well as the SR200 and hands down this bass blows them all away.
Quality
Like I said before, absolutely gorgeous! Well made. Stays in tune. You can't ask for much more. Especially at the price!
Value
Great Value!
The Wow Factor
Beautiful Bass! Front, back, fretboard, head stock!

"Use caution, but for the price it's a real sweet bass."

I would prefer a better factory setup, but I imagine shipping around the world would be hard on any instrument. Of course Indonesia is not known for producing hi quality instruments.
Sound
It's got a nice 'beefy' tone, I can dial in the tones I want, but it's not the best. I am considering changing the electronics, maybe some EMG's.
Features
It was neck through, and Ibanez SG. So for the price I figured I could upgrade what I wanted and have a really nice instrument. It was missing the smallest hex key, but I have my own so that was no big deal.
Ease of Use
Easy to use, but still getting used to it. It's not an 'out of the box' bass.
Quality
Fit was good, all hardware is solid. I was surprised that the neck was so out adjustment, it had a crazy backbow, and every other day I am having to tweak it, it's been 2 weeks now so I hope it finally settles. I was close to sending it back. Also the finish is not the best, they didn't do a good job masking where the fingerboard meets the body, and the finish on the hardware is pretty 'splotchy'. Why am I keeping it? Well it's neck through, it looks good, it's light, and the neck is real thin and the price was too good. After the neck settles, and I change the pickups, I think it will be awesome.
Value
It's a great bass, and I am sure it will be one of my favorites after its set.
Manufacturer Support
Never dealt with Ibanez, but ZZound is great!
The Wow Factor
Its a good looking bass, and I get a lot of compliments on it. Anyone who has played a Sound Gear either loves it or hates it, there is usually not much in between.
