You get what you pay for...and more, great looks, solid flexible sound, very comfortable to play (for me at least) great in recording/live performance applications. I started on Ibanez and I love this bass. I will hopefully and likely hold onto and play this bass for many many years to come.
Sound
Great sound and shaping, cleanly emulating bright P to mellow J to a cool rock throaty mid growl all it's own. Sweet sounds are easy from this bass.
Features
Bartolini pickups and EQ are flexible and accurate. Mid adjustment is powerful, nice wide template of sonic options without the questionably unusable sounds/features some seem bent on providing. Knobs and tuners are die cast metal. Feel is solid and approaching elegant for a bass in this range.
Ease of Use
Great low action out of the case, minimal buzz, but it is there with first setup. Appears to be relatively easy to setup, but did not see the need to, so will find out eventually with string change probably. Nice new bouncy crisp Elixer strings should last a while with some basic care!
Quality
I have owned a few other basses, fender, and a previous ibanez sr-500 that served me well. I can't speak to the super high end "rick" quality, never owned one, although played some and they were great. This is a perfect working mans or advanced beginner bass for studio and stage, it may find it's way to the hands of pros easily as well. It looks plays, and sounds great, way beyond it's price tag. Even though I have not been crazy about "flat" finishes on other instruments. This one just plain works! When some of my friends came by the immediately noticed it and said it looked "bad@ss!" Very nice flame to the maple, no rough edges, glue sots, dead spots, or cut corners in the overall design finish that I can find. Some previous reveiwers said they had dull fret markers, mine look nice, not bright really. I'll take the classy look of subtle pearl inlay over boring obvious white markers anyday.
Value
Fantastic value!
Manufacturer Support
well...uh...haha...have not dealt with much, but would not look forward to trying...with a massive company like ibanez, somewhat removed from the common musician. Maybe if you have an endorsement you would get a call back. Most stuff i fix on my own or take to a local shop.
The Wow Factor
I wanted it...and got it...yes.

"A bassist's dream instrument"

A 45th-birthday present from my wife, and a perfect compliment to my 8-year-old Ibanez SR400. I adore this bass, and I'm sure I'll own it forever - unless I decide to buy another SR900.
Sound
Coupled with my DigiTech BP200 effects board, this bass gives me an impressive array of tonal possibilities. It has a sweet, clean sound, both at the bottom and high ends, and the EQ is much more comprehensive than on any other bass I've ever played.
Features
No included accessories, but it doesn't really need any.
Quality
Looks as beautiful as it sounds. The neck-through body really makes the bass feel like it was carved from one piece of wood. All of my musician friends have been very impressed with this instrument.
Value
Folks were surprised by how little I paid for this bass - from what I'm being told, it's a bargain at three times the price.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't needed their technical support. The bass has been just great in the couple of months that I've owned it.
The Wow Factor
My drummer, who also plays bass, is already trying to relieve me of this bass. I've told him, "You can have it when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers." I hope he just thinks I'm kidding - I'm afraid he might actually kill me for this instrument!

Ibanez SR900 Bass Customer Review
What can I do...I have to say its OKEY
Sound
I still get some fuzz out of it when recording. And I have some problems with electronics. I had to cancel my first live because of crackling noise which came from electronics when I touched the electronics cover on back.
Features
The best and the worst thing is neck-thru construction. It makes nice sound but it demands soft picking on strings to avoid fret fuzz. Altough I've played with fretless bass before so problaby it is my fault too:P
Ease of Use
In my oppininon it is easy to use it. Great playability. Altough the body is lightweight and little. Easy to handle because of thin neck.
Quality
Made in Korea. Actually when I opened the back cover would have expected more than taped wires. I had to put some soft material between electronics and cover to enusre that the electronics wont move and cause crackling noise.
Value
900$
Manufacturer Support
My retailer is problaby on of the worst. At the beginning it seemed nice but afterwards they didn't even answer to my e-mails when I had troubles.
The Wow Factor
I wanted it.
