This bass is a great bass for anyone and would be a great choice for if your looking to upgrade from a beginner bass or an affordable option for someone to explore the world of active bass like myself.-It is very comfortable and light, I'm a smaller player 5'7" and it is very easy to play.-The setup was great out of the box and it has been a absolute joy to play.- The bass has great looks and the hardware accents the finish nicely.- The controls and electronics are top notch and the bass sounds great there was a review I seen before about a small battery box I would agree with that assessment, though I it wasn't all that difficult to replace the battery.- The only issue I have which I consider minimal would be that when I play a bit hard it tends to create a kind of chugging sound so it might not be for you if your recording or looking for a "sound purity", but it's not anything that makes the bass less fun to play.- I'm an advanced level bassist that just plays for fun and personal enjoyment.- I play through a Ampeg B2 15" combo

Ibanez has done it again , with this awesome looking , feeling , and sounding bass. I used this bass in the studio last year , and the tech was amazed buy the looks and sound of this gem.
