It's a shame that I'm the first one to review this bass on zZounds, but here goes! First Impressions: I've wanted one of these basses for many years and was surprised that they still had them in rotation at Ibanez. Thanks to zZounds, I was able to pick 1 of 4 basses to choose from. I decided to go with the lightest one. The bass weighs 8lbs 7oz. It's one of the most beautiful basses that I've ever owned. Blue is my favorite color, so I'm loving the blue burst. Mine has a kind of purple hue inside the burst and it looks really cool with purple Aurora strings. I love the poplar top and binding look around the body. Love the gold hardware.......very beautiful!Sounds: This bass is really versatile and can play many styles with the amazing Nordstrand Big Singles pickups and Ibanez 3 band eq system w/3way Mid switch, A/P, passive mode sounds amazing. It also has a tone control on treble pot.It grunts, it growls, it's punchy and very responsive. I dig it!
