Sound is very flexible and the tone is very good. For the money you can not beat it. The only issue I have is that the fret edges could be ground down just a touch, but everything else about this bass is absolutely perfect. From the fit and finish, to the sound, to the playablity.

Musical Background:

I have been playing music for about 20 years. A few years ago I picked up both bass and guitar.

Musical Style:

Rock, Christian Rock.

The package arrived within two business days which was cool, because it successfully satiated the instant gratification urge. Honestly, I wasn't expecting a lot because everyone knows that $350 isn't practically nothing for an instrument. Nonetheless, I needed one on a budget as I still had to buy a new rig. Ibanez carries a reputation for getting a little more sound for the buck, so I did my research and landed on this. Honestly, the addition of a Hartke bass attack pedal makes it sound closer to a SR605, so I've been happy with the sound for what it costs. First impression was that it's extremely lightweight. One major complaint is that one of the tone knobs fell off within 7 days of owning the bass, but I was able to repair it myself and have since had no cosmetic issues with the bass. Know that there's not much versatility in tone, tooling around with the fine selection of knobs you see. So that work will be left up to your effects/rig/etc. If you're reading this on a budget (like I was), know that it's a solid bass and the pearl white sounds/looks like you paid more for it which kicks ass.
