I have become a big Ibanez fan. These Ibanez Premium Models are my main basses now; I have a 1300E and this 1820E both play like a dream. I plan on getting a few more in the future. Light-weight sleek body, but sound of a 20lbs bass. Thunder and snap all in one bass, the 3 band EQ makes it easy to pull out any sound you want, when I want a little more power just flick the switch and go active. You get full control of the pick-ups with the two volume pots blending the neck and bridge pick-up. Those that say these are too much for what they are, should just play something else, these are for pro-players on a budget. If you love music as much as me, I gave up on the cheap $200 to $700 basses, which are killer on your hands as you get older such as myself. Great gear and great price!
