Im sure they vary but who or whatever was responsible for bookmatching the veneer failed pretty noticibly. When a veneer comes with a 12% increase in price it should be done well. Still looks cool but tge 1/32" lack of deprh and unsymmetrical application make it a questionable choice/upgrade. The RGMS7 plays well, bridge and split positions get modern barks accomplished. String tension and intonation seem better than 25.5" or 27" conventional scale length seven and eights I've owned. Only took a couple sessions to adapt but Ive been playing extended range guitars since the 90s.
