First let me say that I have owned many Ibanez guitars over the years and this is pretty typical of most of the Indonesian models in the $600-$700 price range. The problem with that is, this is a guitar in the $1,000 price range. The first one I ordered needed to be set up. Not unusual for a factory guitar. However, after setting up the guitar I found there was fret buzz up and down the neck. The first guitar was sent back and replaced. The new one arrived and as usual a set up was required. The neck was smooth, fast and I found there to be no sign of fret buzz anywhere on the neck. BUT, the finish on this guitar leaves ALOT to be desired. First let me say that if you order this guitar and expect it to look anything like what you see in the pictures you are going to be disappointed. The guitar is considerebly darker than the pictures provided. On the replacement guitar the "book match" finish was approximately 1/2" from being a book match (the book match did not come close to lining up) and the finish is very muddy and does not have a quilted appearance in places on the guitar. I have guitars half this price that have a better looking finish. So in this case you are not getting what you pay for. The pickups are an upgrade over the stock pickups that came in my RGT42DX but not by much and the Edge-Zero 2 tremolo is a step backwards. With that said I would not recommend it at this price. Save your money and find yourself a used prestige. *NOTE* I gave the manufacturer support 50/50 as there was no contact with the manufacturer.
