Look. I'm no expert, but I own several guitars and have played several more. And this guitar is a serious standout! Yes, it's pretty, eye-catching. But looks hardly matter, right? -if it plays like garbage. This guitar plays like butter! *It's easy to play. You'd think with 2 extra strings it'd feel cumbersome: it does not. *The neck is fast, but also easy to weild. Look at the specs for the neck as to why, I don't know how it works, but it feels easier to play this than some 6 strings I own: (I'm looking at you Epiphone goth Les Paul!) Lol. *It's light. It doesn't weigh down on your neck at all, even with long sessions. Just have a decent strap on, and go. *The strings!!! The strings it came with are just the right weight! You can get super dropE heavy, or play nice progressive jazz, or play souring gleaming leads and sound gorgeous in each case. *The setup out of the box was phenomenal. No kidding. Tuned her up and the action was right, the intonation was right: she plays fast right away. I've heard people say you automatically have to replace strings and do a decent setup with any new guitar, but in this case you may want to slow down and play with it first. You'll likely be surprised. *The pickups... Holy cats! They sing!! I've had a Seymour Duncan preference for years. I suspect I always will, but I love these emg's!! Wow. They're a known brand, you're paying extra for them... You know they're good. *finally, the specs. This has a premium neck. Enough said about that. The body sounds great, even though I never heard of the wood... The only quality jump you make from here are cosmetic ones, and possibly a known tonewood for the body and a separate body "top". This is a great guitar, and highest quality!
