If you are a lefty like me, you take your chances when buying any guitar, off the shelf or custom built, either one. There is always a better chance of getting a lemon. My RG450DXB was nearly flawless right out of the box and only required minor adjusting to achieve perfection. Now, it plays incredibly fast and easy. The thin neck is pure Ibanez. Same with the pickups. All hardware is of superior quality. This is one incredible guitar and one incredible value.

I have had several left handed Ibanez guitar's including three 1570's one 570,two 470's and 2 1550's and this one by far plays the best low action and no fret buzz anywhere. Maybe I got lucky and got a good one

I'll preface this with ,I'm still a pretty green beginner. Am three yrs into playing / learning, two with a teachers guidance on and off. In my infancy of playing I've yet to overcome my need/want to be perfect..... So all in all I'm only slightly better than a complete newbie.....that all being said , I've gotten to know a bit about a lot of mid grade mass produced guitars. I've got no other real hobby so I've acquired quite a few of these $500 range guitars... Overall this guitar is right up there . The fit and finish is perfect , only slight manufacturing scuffs in slightest at screw points here and there. The hardware is as good if not better than any of my other mid range guitars. I'm still getting to know the bridge (edge zero-2) and it seems quite awesome....yet I must say its my first experience with a "Floyd type" bridge. The fine tuning is about as far as I've gotten and it is amazingly accurate, and hold tune excellently . Tuners are very fine and the locking nut being my first is a adjustment but worth it ....the neck is thin and smooth, fretwork is excellent. Neck finish feels as if there's no finish, almost can feel the grain. If I had to pick a negative , and I mean had to....I'd say the pickups are just ok. A little on the shallow side , not a lot of depth of tone . But that's being overly critical IMO as I'm no shredder..,yet. I've seen no issue to give pause in suggesting to anyone to buy this guitar on a whole. It very versatile with the HSH pickups and the low ,thin and fast neck. Has a great tremolo and like I said stays in tune very well. If you did your research and your on the fence about this guitar , don't give it a second thought....just click buy! You won't be let down.

I love this guitar so much that words can't even express it.HOWEVER I do have to mention that if you are new that you should NOT get this guitar simply because the Floyd Rose is most likely gonna throw you for a loop and make you want to quit on the spot,it is actually the only thing that keeps me from giving this guitar a full 5 stars.THAT ASIDE,this guitar is so amazing even being $50 more than it's right handed counterpart, the pickups (if you get the model with the Quantum pickups) are possibly the best stock pickups I've ever heard and even put some sets to shame,I'm mostly a metal player but this guitar is not a one trick pony,it does it all;Metal,Rock,Blues,Jazz,Country, you name it and this guitar does it with ease. The neck is super warm and the bridge has an amazing bite and the middle and other positions provide some twang on top of the other sounds previously described, unless you use the middle exclusively on its own which is pure twang. This leads to great versatility. The neck,is like silk with its smoothness and perfectly sized to be shred-able but not too small, the 24 frets provides all the notes you could need and the frets are well spaced and very well done, which makes me imagine what an American or Japanese Ibanez guitar would play like! The Inlays also sold me as I think the Shark Teeth look sick (unlike shark fins on a Jackson) and the wood choice is well made too,the guitar has a nice weight to it but also isn't a behemoth, the peraloid pickgaurd also looks really nice and actually shines under florescent lights, the Tremolo is seriously my only complaint on this guitar, thus I blocked mine off so that it functions like a normal bridge. So for a TL;DR the guitar is not for new players but is otherwise a god-tier instrument for the lefty in need
