I expect to keep this for years. Until I can justify spending over a thousand dollars for another, this will be my only electric guitar. If it was stolen, I would definately buy another. One of the major problems to buying a lefty guitar is that you can't actually try many of them in person. Not to worry, you will be very happy with this one. If you're on the fence, pick the RG. More features, good quality, and better design than the nearest alternatives.
Sound
Even though this looks like a metal guitar, I can assure you it will play anything you can throw at it. In all honesty, a modeling amp will take you most of the way to getting a great sound in a variety of genres. While I can't say I have a recording contract or label, I can say that this guitar isn't holding me back.
Features
As an accessible guitar for those who can't afford a month's wages on equipment, this has great features. In this range, you aren't going to find a guitar with more features. The strings are locked down so you can bend the notes all day with less retuning than comparable guitars. I like the neck, as it's not too thin or too thick. You can adjust the tremolo bar to stay put or swing freely, a nice touch. My only gripe is that mine did not come with the actual bar...
Ease of Use
You can really just pick it up and play, and it's pretty simple to get it to sound like you want it with a good amp. Tuning is easy. Once everything's locked down you really only mess with the fine tuners. You can do it on stage even. But don't expect to do major tone changes without an allen wrench - which unless you're in only into a niche sound you won't even change it from the factory setting.
Quality
Built very well, nothing seems like a cheap shortcut in construction. Everything seems to be well engineered, capable of holding up to travel, and pretty solid. Nothing has broken, and the finish was nice and even.
Value
You aren't going to get a better left handed guitar than the RG unless you're getting closer to the 1000.00 price range. One of the main problems with lefty guitars is that many companies uses a lot of righty parts. Thankfully Ibanez gave us all flipped parts, even down to the shark tooth inlay on the frets being correct. It would have been easy to do little circles like other manufacturers and be done with it. It's a nice touch that they took the time to give us a mirror-image guitar like southpaws actually deserve.
The Wow Factor
You can't go wrong with all black. It's going to fit into any look you've got going, because it's versatile. Although it does look like a metal guitar, you can work with what's essentially a blank canvas. The sharktooth inlays look really good.

"Rare Metal guitar for a lefty"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
a keeper forever.. great for a beginner or a pro.
Sound
This guitar has awsome sound...i was a little skeptical about the infinity pick ups but ibanez has once again suprised me...the bridge pick up has a lot of bite when i play it through my behringer GMX212 and the neck pick up is geat for soloing. the only bad thing is the amount of noise from the single coil and some times with the wrong amp it may sound a bit muffled.
Features
the Edge pro 3 is definetly no floyd rose but it gets the job done pretty well. you can get some awsome sounding dimebag squeals with it. also the 24 jumbo frets help you hit thoes really high notes.
Ease of Use
this guitr may be hard for someone whose not used to the dubble lockink tremolo system because if you dont kno what ur doing it may take you a while to get it up, or down, to the right tuneing. other than that its awsome...the neck is really easy to play fast on, but its not toooooo thin or thick.
Quality
my guitar came tuned and without a scratch right out of the box... ive also dropped it twice and not even two dents and didnt go out of tune either...great guitar to take on the road to play on stage.
Value
one of the best low priced heavy metal guitars for lefties ive ever seen.
Manufacturer Support
Ibanez is a great company
The Wow Factor
pickups make the guitar look really sexy and the gloos of the black paint is awsome. the sharktooth mother of pearl inlays arent bad either.

I will get another one and tune it in a differnt key. Right now I got a Schecter C7 and looking into getting the C8 Schecter. In my opinion, Ibanez and Schecter are the best leftys out there for the money and componets.
Sound
The guitar sounds great, for the price, it has the right combo of parts. For me the tonal quality and resonance is good and responsive with some sustain in the body. If the thickness of the finish was not so thick(not complaining) the sustain would be at a premium. How one can tell about the natual sustain is to dry play and listen.
Features
Again for the money it is a good combo selection of parts. Good pickups, great fast fret board, with some adjustment one can get the action to the max preformance, seeing I play fast with a lot of sweeps. Pickups are good in the natural and un-natural(using pick hand) harmonics area, squeals and freted harmonics are easaly achived even on not so good amps. Came with all the Allen wenches to tune and even a booklet explaining the process to adjust the fret board tension...very cool!
Ease of Use
Very easy and adjustable the neck and pickup need to be adjusted for ones personal taste and sound that you want to achive. Great manual with adjustments, very playable guitar.
Quality
Very well made, the paint and finish are thick, I know because mine arrived with a dime size chip to the wood due to the delivery not from ZZSounds! I really did not care as it did not affect the preformance or sound. Very road worthy. If I had a complaint, it would be that the volume pot was tight, but I dont not use it in a preformance, I did try to move up the knob thinking that might be it, but was not, it could have been just my guitar?? Again that made no diffrence to me.
Value
If you are a starter or a serious shredder...For the price, this is the one. I have a $1000 Prestige and can not really tell the diffrence.
Manufacturer Support
No actions here to report.
The Wow Factor
Sexy glossy black and head stock..Feels good and solid.

Ibanez RG370DXL Lefty Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
I love the sound I can get out of this guitar. The pickups are great for the long ringing notes. The metal sound you can get out of it is great too. The distortion is a litlle sensitive on it though but I like to play that way so it doesn't bother me.
Features
The pickups are great and really don't need to be replaced. The floating bride is nice for when you like those screahing sounds and dive downs ...I also like the designs of the inlays.
Ease of Use
The playing is great for any kind of metal you can think of. But if you get new strings, prepare for about 3 weeks of torture from trying to retune it all the time. The Floyd rose is a pain but once you get a feel on how to use it, you'll be fine.
Quality
This guitar is more durable than it looks. The parts don't wear out and it has stoppers in the bridge to stop the whammy bar from going too far off. The whammy bar is also good but isn't one you twist in. it can lock anywhere you want it to and also be loose on diffrent settings.

"Great value, but lacking tone and don't get me started on those tacky fretboard inlays..."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
I am going to change out the bridge pickup and I am sure the guitar will sound a lot better. The fretboard adornments I mentioned this previous induce of this review, however, are just unforgiveable. Makes me wish I had spent twice the amount for the Prestige (still only offered in black, but gone are the clownshoes, god-awful lightning bolts). For the record, that's also why I can't bring myself to play a Jackson Dinky- the only model they offer in lefty is the one with the sharktooth inlays. Comparing the two, however, the Jackson has an alder body (much more toneful and resonant than the Ibanez' basswood body), and comes standard with Seymour Duncan pickups.
Sound
I don't like the sound of basswood. It is just plain dull to my ears. Unplugged, this guitar has no volume, resonance or projection, compared to almost all of the other lefty guitars I own (Fender Standard Strat, Fender American Tele, Yamaha RGX, Yamaha RGZ, Washburn X-50 Pro). The pickups on this guitar definately don't help; Ibanez has long been famous for substandard pickups, and this model doesn't do anything to debunk that notion. The only reason I rate the sound as highly as I do is because the intonation and tuning are spot-on with this guitar; that aspect of it makes me play better because I'm more confident in the guitar's stability, which makes any player sound better.
Features
Whoever said the "Edge III is no Floyd Rose" doesn't know what they're talking about. While the feel of the arm is different than an Original Floyd Rose, The Edge III is in many ways better than the Floyd, an evolution of the design.
Ease of Use
The guitar plays very well.
Quality
The guitar is actually very well made, with a gorgeous finish, great neck, top-quality hardware, and good tuners. As aforementioned, I think the pickups are garbage, but the guitar itself is made exceedingly well.
Value
I strongly recommend changing out the bridge pickup, and the neck as well if you play that position much. The pickups have fine output but the tone is woefully inadequate to the ears of someone accustomed to a good Seymour or DiMarzio.
Manufacturer Support
Neutral, as I've never needed them...
The Wow Factor
Black. The eternal bane of lefties, hah-hah... it is a very well done black, though; the finish is utterly flawless, and is rendered in a piano-gloss that is prone to smudges but when buffed is actually quite nice. The one thing I despise about this guitar- more so than the basswood body or the tone-deaf pickups, even- are those gosh-awful sharktooth inlays on the fretboard. It's not a matter of "they don't suit my aesthetic," etc. They are just plain gaudy, laughable, total clownshoes.

Ibanez RG370DXL Lefty Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

Ibanez has captured my interest with this guitar, I will buy more from them in the future.. this was sort of my "test" Ibanez to see if I was going to like them after so many years with a Gibson.. all I can say is I wished I'd bought one years ago!
Sound
No complaints, sounds great and very versatile.
Ease of Use
I have a Les Paul (Gibson) lefty that is a great guitar.. but the weight and the fretboard of the Ibanez keeps me grabbing it to play.
Quality
Excellent lefty Guitar for this kind of cash.. volume pot is a bit rough feeling at the bottom, but who uses there anyway!
Value
For the money I can't beat it.
Manufacturer Support
Not needed.

"BUY IT. NOW."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will be satisfied with this ibanez for a long time. I have bought/will buy more guitars though. but thats just because there is no such thing as having enough guitars hahaha. if it was stolen, i would track down who ever took it and beat them mercilessly, followed by burning them to death. that is how awesome of a guitar this is. if it was lost though, i would buy it again. without a doubt.
Sound
I want to give a 10 for sound, but the problem is the middle pickup. it sounds like crap. the 2 humbuckers are great though. The bridge pickup sounds great with overdrive, very brutal sound. the neck pickup sounds best for clean playing (or for soloing with overdrive). i mostly use it for sweeps or tapping.
Features
I give a 9 because i would prefer it didnt have the floyd rose. if it had a string through bridge id give a 10.
Ease of Use
It plays amazingly. it plays just as well as my Schecter Devil, but for nearly half the price!
Quality
Ive had mine for 2 years and there isnt a single flaw in it. it is definitely great quality. very reliable. i do keep a backup, but thats just because it looks cool switching out guitars halfway through a set :P but before i got my schecter, i played without a backup and this ibanez was perfect. with proper care this will last a long long time.
Value
Like i said before, it stands up to my $750 schecter. Definitely worth the price.
The Wow Factor
it looks amazing. it has a darker fretboard than what is shown in the stock pictures, so it is pretty much all pitch black, which looks great! I also like that the pickups are fully black. I hate the look of black pickups with silver magnets, but luckily these are black. the shark teeth inlays are sick too. It is one sexy guitar.
