"Wow, just wow."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Love it and wouldn't go for any other guitar out there in this price range.
Sound
The sound is just simply amazing, I've played higher priced guitars and the tone on this one is just great!
Features
The humbuckers on the guitar is great for alot of heavy fast riffs such as grunge, but dont let that stop you from using it for playing blues because it also sounds amazing on this guitar.
Quality
Very durable.
Value
I think this product is worth more then they're selling it for.
Manufacturer Support
I've dealt with the Ibanez company befor, and they were just great.
The Wow Factor
The color and the double cut away style is just mind blowing sexy.

"Great guitar for the price. Period."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I'll never sell this guitar. This was my first, and now that I've really matured as a guitar player, I know that I made a great decision buying this guitar. It has a really good sound for the money. I still haven't changed out the pups, mainly because I'm unsure of my soldering skills, but I am pleased with the sound of this bad boy. With the gain up to 5 and a wah wah, this thing SCREAMS! I also forgot to mention the fact that you can get some great pinch harmonics out of this thing! You can get a harmonic anywhere on the fretboard, after a little practice. Great guitar, great value.
Sound
This guitar sounds very nice, and that surprised me, for such a cheap guitar. It has a much more trebly sound than a traditional Les Paul. It plays great distorted on the bridge pickup, and still sounds pretty decent clean. Don't get me wrong though, with some Duncan's in this thing, it would RAWK to the next level.
Features
It's a simple guitar..two pickups, four knobs, and a 3-way switch. Not much here. But it's really all you need.
Ease of Use
It's got great playability. Extremely light, as opposed to my Hagstrom Swede, by at least 5 pounds. Seriously, it's LIGHT! And it's body has a rather small-profile as well.
Quality
Pretty good quality, however it does need to be intonated correctly, as mine was a tad bit off. You can really expect that with any guitar though, so I give it up to Ibanez here for quality. My only gripe is that it's top-heavy, so if you let go of the neck, it will drop to your knees...makes it harder to slide around the fretboard efficiently, because you're supporting the weight of the neck as you're playing...that's the main difference between this and a quality guitar.
Value
Dude, this thing screams value! $250 for a killer starter guitar? I'll take two! I still play this after getting two other guitars added to my collection. Mine has a few battle scars already, but she's still my baby. I'll never get rid of it.
Manufacturer Support
I can't speak for their customer service, because I've never dealt with them before.
The Wow Factor
Not a whole lot of sex appeal...it's a bruiser. Small, mean looking guitar. I didn't love all the black, so I made a pickguard for mine for sex appeal...it's not like you need one though. For beginners, don't be afraid of not having a pickguard: It's actually really hard IMO to even hit the body of your gutar with your pick as you're playing. It's really just for looks.

Ibanez GAX70L Left Guitar Customer Review

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Just a great guitar for a beginner or for studio recording by any pro.
Sound
Great sound. I use a Line6 Spider III HD150 head and a Behringer cab. This sound definately rivals that of my Les Paul. It has great middle and is not as fat as a Les Paul but it has a clear, sharp sound with very hot pickups.
Features
It came with a soft case, but otherwise nothing.
Ease of Use
The frets are a little smaller than on most guitars and it has a very thin neck. This is a great soloing guitar or a guitar for a beginner. I regularly play this. It fits well and it is very light.
Quality
I have had two problems. First, the tone dial for the neck pickups is a little weird and it seems like it came off of its track or something, and it raddles, but it still works. Secondly, the wires that connect the pickups and everything the the last piece in the guitar before the chord got disconnected. There is like a little piece of metal that the chord touches when it is plugged in and one of the two wires (positive and negative wires Im guessing) came undone despite the fact that it was soddered when it was made. Nothing you can't fix in 10 minutes with a steady hand and some wire, but it was still a pain in the butt. I have had it for 4 years now.
Value
If you slapped a Gibson or PRS sticker on it, I could still tell that this is a Ibanez because it is so much easier to play than the Les Paul, and its neck and fretwork are superior in quality.
Manufacturer Support
I called up some support number, and the problem with the disconnected wire was the first thing they suspected when I told them the symptoms (no output from the guitar, just a hazy static sound that would look like that static that comes on your tv when you disconnect a wire and this black and white static crap comes on). They told me what to do and I did it over the phone. Piece of cake.
The Wow Factor
I have it in a transparent red with a wood grain and it lookes great. The shape is a little like an SG.
