So I got this beauty 3 days ago, just tuned it and played it with the stock strings, it sounded great but it didnt stay much in tune and it was in Eb. I put new strings on it, saw youtube vids on how to restrings these gotoh mt series machine heads, set up the gotoh t1501 bridge nice and flat like a floyd/edge zero like I always do... stretched the strings and everything... all the strings stayed in tune except for the high B and E. They kept going sharp. Didn't find much help online with youtube and reddit... you'd be surprised how LITTLE there was on this hardware onine. Call zZounds to make a return... I believe I spoke with an Aaron.. sorry if I forgot your name brother.. it was with an A.. he asked why I was returning it and told him about those 2 strings. He said he had a similar guitar and suggested it might be the nut. Either file the nut or add some lubricant. He said that was usually the case, so after a nice 10 minute discussion I said I would try that. Went to guitar center and found Music Nomad tune it.... WOW... if you made it this far into my review, i'm surprised. lol. It WORKED! lubed up the nut and the bridge, stretched the strings and everything.... it plays like a DREAM. If you are used to Floyds and Edge Zeros with double locking trem... this is a bit different. But it works and sounds amazing. So i have to say thank you to this gentleman employee. Thank you for giving me these tips. Been playing for over 30 years and I know learned a new way to work on these gotoh trems.

I ordered this guitar in the first days of January 2023. After owning for a half a year and playing it nearly all those days. I can confidently say this guitars rips and blows all guitar in its price point out of the water! You have a fully spec’d guitar right out the box and I’m usually the guy to upgrade guitars but there is no upgrades needed! Just set it up, tune and rock on. The pickups are absolutely amazing, and this is coming from a guy with all BKP in all my guitars EXCEPT this one. There is reason why the Tone Zone, True Velvet and Air Norton are popular. They were so well together and is tried and true. The T1502 bridge is fluttery, buttery and smooth and can hold tuning better the Celine Dione holding a high pitch. Roasted maple is awesome and Ebony fingerboard is a no brainer. Basswood body is essential for a guitar like this. Stainless steel frets, luminlay. I’m going to say it again. Fully spec’d. Finish is amazing! And between you and me. It’s like a Suhr without the Suhr price! 10/10 guitar. Like i mean it, from playing Aristides to mayos, 10/10. For the price? You can’t beat it!

What a great guitar. I like it as well or better than my very nice Suhr modern which would sell new for north of $3k. The versatile Tone Zone, True Velvet and Air Norton pups are one of my favorite combos. They have a really well balanced tone but pretty high output which might not be for everyone. Unplugged the AZ47P1QM sounds incredible. Best non-locking trem I've tried. My only wish is that you could chose both humbuckers in parallel with the switching system - but that was an easy modification... Highly recommend!
