I was excited to get this guitar, but hesitant about Chinese construction due possible quality control issues. However, I was very wrong, and find the quality control impeccable, most likely due to Ibanez. This is my first Ibanez instrument; I’ve been a Gibson, Fender or PRS player for about 10 years. I don’t know how I missed Ibanez, but I’m an older guy and loved Jimmy Page. My generation really liked Les Pauls and Strats.This guitar rocks! It is light as a feather , feels like 5 pounds maybe. I love the roasted maple neck. It’s not only beautiful , but fast . The fit and finish is great! I’m not sure if the frets were supposed to be polished; but they need it , especially if you’re bending a lot. I had another guitar that had unpolished frets initially, and they do smooth out with use, so it’s no big deal. Now the pickups are very versatile ,with about 10 positions, and they are nice. Bottom line, it’s a steal. People have criticized the tremelo system, it’s a six screw, not a 2 post; but it’s fine, and this guitar is not really a true metal axe with Floyd rose and locking nut.
