The pickups on this model are not great for proggy guitarist. To me they have no edge or attack. The guitar is phenomenal and I love the feel and esthetics. It doesn’t have tuning issues as far as some reviews I’ve seen. I’m pretty sure people that complain of these issues do t have it setup for the gauge they’re using. With that said, I would absolutely purchase again givin the chance. I am however going to be swapping out pickups with with BK ragnarok for bridge and Trilogy singles for next and middle.I’ll have to replace the mix9 switch with a BK switch but that’s okay. This thing will be a powerhouse once the pickups are swapped. You can sell the pickups onboard for a couple hundred on reverb to recoup some of the expense. For those out there who don’t mind a duller vibes p/u for jazz or even rock. These pickups will not be an issue. That said, they do not pack the punch I require. I have 4 guitars and all of them are loaded with BK pickups so for me this is standard.Hope this review helps!!
