I own an assortment of acoustic and electric guitars but was missing a Classical guitar. The first guitar I ever played was a classical belonging to another family member. I found the wider neck appealing. I chose the Ibanez because it is a name known for quality products and it was a great price! The sound unplugged is excellent. I was surprised having played a friends Ovation acoustic electric how much better it sounded. Nice having a tuner built in and it is right in sync with my other tuners. Finish is beautiful in black. I am really enjoying this guitar.

I bought this guitar for Brazilian and Latin styles of music. I also play some classical. Right out of the box this guitar sounded great. The action was choice, the fretboard smooth, and the sound large. Came just as advertised. I live right above NYC and it shipped from NJ in one day. Very happy with my purchase thus far.

The guitar plays nicely. Intonation very good esp. considering price point. Tuner works well, as do the electronics. If all you need is to hear is a mellow tone this guitar will do just fine. Not the richest sounding classical guitar I've owned...but certainly worth the money.

"Another great Ibanez"

First let me say that this is my fourth guitar purchase from Zzounds, and won't be the last. This guitar arrived with string buzzing and the neck needed to be adjusted just like all of the guitars that I've bought from Zzounds, I have no idea what's up with that. Just like all the other guitars that I have, Takamine, Epiphone Emporer Swingster, Epiphone Les Paul Tribute and then this Ibanez, the photos on this website are horrible and anyone thinking of this purchase should look for better photos elsewhere. When I opened the box on the "orange" one, the finish is stunning and needs to be seen to be believed. This is not a traditional classical nylon string guitar as it has the concert size body, which gives a broader sound stage that's needed because it has a very shallow body. I would have liked the depth in addition to the concert body. The sound when plugged in to my Fender Super Champ X2 (with Celestion speaker) that I also bought from Zzounds, can be anything from sweet and mellow to in your face. I suggest a using a tube amplifier if you have one. With the Fishman pickup and the tube amp, any tone freak (like me) will be pleased.

The nylon strings allow me learn and practice for as long as I want without shredding the tips of my fingers like steel strings do. The sound is fantastic with great projection unplugged. The quality of craftsmanship, fit and finish is very well done.

Out of the box, this guitar was not playable. The action was so high at the nut and bridge you could have played slide guitar. After adjusting the guitar plays like an electric, my action is 1/16 at the 12th fret, the pickup is very good, intonation is dead on with DADDARIO classical strings. The finish is flawless, tuners work well. Purchased from zZounds.

I bought this for my wife for xmas 2016. Fast shipping arrived on time. Packaged well.Plays beautiful and is striking in appearance. She wanted a black guitar with just a little flash. Met and exceeded my expectations. Thanks zZounds for another homerun! 3 guitars purchased from zZounds and every time it was delivered on time and packaged well. Happy Holidays! P.S. gave manufacturer support as a 1 star because I have not had any need for it yet. So, I'm not sure of the support. But, I'm sure there won't be a problem.

"Very nice low end instrument"

I am very pleased with this so far. One minor gripe was that the bridge was mounted roughly 4, or 5, millimeters to low. The effect was that the high E string was too close to the edge of the fretboard. I took out my luthiers nut file, and notched the strings over a tad. This also raised the tension of the strings, and bowed the neck slightly, so a truss rod adjustment was required. Now it plays much better. The kit comes with an extra plastic bridge piece, but I will probably replace the stock one with a bone version. Or not. Included is a truss rob hex wrench, a small instruction sheet on setting that, along with a basic instruction pamphlet, in multiple languages. The finish is very nice, although the fretboard was very dry upon receipt. The strings are adequate, and have a good sound. The Fishman transducer, and the preamp/tuner, have an excellent sound together. Better IMHO than micing the instrument. It suits my needs perfectly right now, and I plan on keeping this for years to come. I bought it for a guitar symphony I am writing for my wife of 28 years, and one of the movements had a bit of a flamenco feel to it, but all I had was steel string acoustics. The sound of this instrument is perfect for the 3rd movement of my symphony.
