i rateed the sound at a 9 because the 2 channels share 1 eq.i use fulltone effects so i only use the gain channel when i dont wanna tote pedals.this is my favorite amp.great tone great volume,great clean headroom.more (useable) bottom than i have ever heard.this is probably due to the mostly closed back. i have had it about a year now with no issues.you can get any sound youre looking for from clean to classic to heavy crunch.im not much into reverb.but i was surprised how nice this reverb sounds.i own a twin reverb and a blues junior.i use me h@k tube 20 99% of the time.

Incredible tone unlike any other 1X12 I have ever played. The amp is incredibly responsive on both the clean and overdrive channels. The reverb (spring) is money. It allows me to play all the tones I want without a single pedal.I have not recorded with this amp, but will without a doubt next time I'm in a studio. I use a HSS Texas special strat with the amp. The neck pickup gives an incredible clean, and the middle single coil and the humbucker are great with the overdrive channel. I'd highly recommend this product.
