I'm not trying to spend a bunch of money on cables, but at the same time I can't deal with cheap crap. This cable is better than most I've used. It's stood up to touring, fly-ins, basements. Coils easily and doesn't get wound up on itself which even very expensive cables sometimes do (looking at you, Monster). Very quiet. Very slight signal loss compared to a fancier Planet Waves cable I've got, but most of us are used to our guitars and basses having that ultra-high high end smoothed out by more traditional cables like this anyway. Unless you are a complete freak about your signal, you won't notice. And if you are that much of a freak, you're not looking to buy something in this price range anyway. I'm liking this better than CBI, Pig Hog, and Ernie Ball. Don't think Hosa is junk; they just have a bunch of different product lines at different price points. I have studio cabling of theirs that's as good as anything else I've ever seen. I expect this to last at least four or five years. At less than a dollar a foot it's the best value out there right now.

"Integrity of the cable not the best"

Cable does its job, the only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars is the integrity of its casing. For a 25 ft cable, it seems to coil and tangle itself no matter how much I "untangle it" . No issues so far with wiring or sound but not impressed with overall quality of the outer casing since I have to keep untangling it. BTW: I mostly play sitting down so I do not move around the room that much. I would expect a cable of that length to stay untangled.

I got the 15 foot cables, they work just fine. One is probably over a year old, still working great. I just ordered two more, no problems. No hum, no noise, great tone.

Musical Background:

Bass guitar - still learning chord tones, modes, jamming with CDs/MP3s

Musical Style:

Rock (mostly "classic rock"), some country rock

Purchased two, both of them are broken, just came apart. I have had nothing but good experiences with zZounds in the past but this is the exception. Don't wast your money on these.

Musical Background:

33 years of playing, 20 years of playing for a living. Main instrument being guitar, others are bass, drums, keyboards

Musical Style:

Gospel,blues,country,rock.
