Full disclosure: The guitar needed a very thorough setup when I got it, but it was so amazing-looking I wanted to give it a chance. After the setup, I am very pleased. This guitar is not quite like a Gibson ES-335 or an Epiphone Dot. It's a much better guitar than the Dot, much better constructed and tonally much more diverse as well. It's also a beautiful piece of work. People have asked if it is comparable to an ES-335, but I think it is much more comparable to an Epiphone Casino. Like the Casino it is very light, and even though it has a center block, it can feed back as easily as the Casino, which can be good or bad depending on the context. It is not as thick-sounding as an ES-335 can be by any means. If anything the guitar is tonally unique. It's in the same neighborhood as the Casino or perhaps a Rickenbacker 330 or 360. Overall, I am glad I bought it, and it is a good alternative to most other semi-hollowbodies out there. It's unique, it looks great, and it has its own character. A good buy all things considered.

5 stars on this guitar. Thin, comfortable, light and sound is dark but has tone and loud acoustically. Lots or overtones and tone for days. I restrung it with .011 and I am set now.
