Sound
Sound quality of the recorded CD's is good.
Features
It has a lot of features, but I have had problems with two basic features. First, the analog input record volume. It is very sensitive. After recording over 50 albums I've noticed it is very difficult to get the recording level set within the parameters recommended by the instruction manual. Turn it just a little up and it is in red zone. Turn it down just a little and the record level is lower than manual recommends. Very difficult to get it just right. Second problem. I have set the automatic tracking feature to various different settings from least sensitive to most sensitive, but this CD recorder has yet to automatically number the tracks correctly. On a ten song record even the most sensitive setting only yields between 2-5 tracks. Sometimes it starts new track, but most of the time it does not. I really don't want to have to manually put in each track mark, but I don't know how else to fix this problem.
Quality
Physically, everything works with the exception of the aforementioned
problems.
Value
I really don't think this recorder is worth the extra money. I have an RCA CD recorder that I bought for a little over 100.00 that does not have a problem putting in tracks automatically. You would expect a very expensive recorder like this to be able to do it with ease, but it does not. It also will not "automatically" record the records. The synche will not work. It even states in the manual that you may have to record manually if the synch does not work--like they are expecting it not too. Well, it didn't work for me. Now I am manually recording and manually putting in track numbers one by one. Very time consuming.
Manufacturer Support
Could not find any technical support. Emailed sales over a week ago trying to get advice on how to fix or go around the volume control and tracking problems listed above. No response yet.
The Wow Factor
I think I would like my money back and would rather move
on to a better working device.
