"Amazing Sounding Mic Pre - HA-73EQ"

Wanted to purchase a higher end mic-pre. Typically use the on-board interface preamps or my midas XL47 via ADAT. The HA-73EQ is at miles ahead for the sound. Only used on guitar and vocals and it the has more beef, girth compared the shallow sounding interface mic-pres. Build is good, but the buttons and knobs feel a little loose, but sound it great.

"Amazing 1073 Style Pre-EQ for Artists/Engineers With a Budget"

I had this on preorder when it was first announced. There was a delay for quality assurance. I’m glad they took the time. I’m an up and coming engineer from NYC and I have used this on so many genres, so many different sources ranging from Rap Vocals to Female Jazz singing. Sounds great on everything. Get that nice analog color that the 1073 is known for. You can’t really get this sound in the box. One note is that the highpass knob was a little loose but other than that it’s an amazing unit. Worth the money.

I have been producing music and engineering for 8 years. I play keys and work with a lot of analog synthesis.

I have built a few 1073 clones. This unit cost about what my part cost is. I have been running this a few months now. And am very happy with it, I like how it's built. The sound is for sure in the 1073 ballpark, the eq has all 3 eductors, the direct I have used the most, it works great, very pleased.
