i got mine from here about 5 months back and they sound amazing. i spent a few hours tuning them to have an overall low sound and its easily the best sound ive ever gotten out of a set. (and thats with the stock heads) i plan on trading those for evans onyx heads like my snare but thatll come later the only bad thing i can say is that the had slight damage out the box because the ups man just threw it down on my porch and the screws to hold the tom holders in place were stripped when they got here. but overall an amazing set of drums i get questions about them all the time at my bands shows!

I got this kit about 4 years ago now and it has served me pretty well, I upgraded the skins and bought a seperate snare drum and a new set of pedals! Overall it's a great kit for a lower end large kit. Only thing i will say is a downside is the tom mounts aren't very durable. The little locks that hold the toms in place have snapped and I am now using duct tape to hold them in place.

This is probably the best drumset for the price out there. Decent quality heads for all, and though it isnt the greatest material ive seen from gretsch, you have a lot to work with for 800 bucks and it is definitely a sexy looking kit that sounds great

Musical Background:

drummer for 10 years. currently in a metal band with fellow servicemembers
