"great for a novice or a pro"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars

i plan to wear this kit completely thin before i get a new one, just get new heads and hardware, cymbals etc.
Sound
i just got this kit in pearly blue, used, all i can say is it sounds pretty good with the stock gretsch heads, but i would go ahead and get some new ones anyway. but i prefer a thud kind of sound on my toms.
Features
one thing that was different that i liked was the way the toms mounted on the bass drum, i thought it to be pretty neato how it worked
Ease of Use
it didnt take much tweaking at all to get a decent sound out of the whole kit, but again i would go for some better heads if you want a better tone out of your toms
Quality
considering i bought mine used, it is a really pretty kit and im very glad i bought it =)
Manufacturer Support
got it used
The Wow Factor
the colors they have here aren't my preference but i got a pretty pearl blue finish on mine and lets just say, if it were human, id marry it

"Ok for price, couple of flaws."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars

This was my very first set, and after 4 years, it is still holding strong. I would probably buy a Sonor though, if it were to be stolen/broken. Very reliable/
Sound
For the price of this set, the sound is ok. If you want a professional sound, I reccommend getting some Remo or Evans drum heads to replace the cheap stock ones. The snare can have a low, sharp sound. But it can also have a high pitched, tight sound. It's very versatile, but the toms and vbass drum definitely don't sound like a dream. The bass drum head is rather cheap, and so are the toms.
Ease of Use
It does require some good tuning to get it to sound to your exact specifications.
Quality
The product is made well, except for one thing.. The toms won't stay in place. No matter how tight you turn the wing nuts, they fall or move left/right. I'm sure if you placed the toms on a more expensive part, they wouldn't move. No blemishes.
Value
The product is good for this price. Just a couple of flaws. I actually paid more for this, but my set included the hi-hats, thin crash, and ride cymbals.
The Wow Factor
The product would make you want it. It is very sexy and it shouts out to your eyes.
