I am a beginner, and I own a couple of guitars, acoustic and electric. After reading online reviews of this Gretsch I decided to go for it. Recently arrived, the first thing I did was put some light gauge strings on it. I plugged it in, tuned it up, and played that old standard, The Star Spangled Banner. I cannot say enough how much I love the tonal quality of those humbuckers thru my little Boss amp. Just awesome. I'll probably upgrade the tuners one day, but for now I'm just going to play.
