The metering is not as sensitive as a Presonus Studio Channel but hey this compressor is much thicker sounding. It squeezes and retains roundness.

The Comp works fine but using it with an audio interface is noisy. I'm sure it will work fine with other equipment such as live or recording console. I would still give it a 4 even if it wasn't noisy, controls are not really precise but you can pay more and get the more expensive one that has more control.
