A great product. Solidly built. Easy to store away. Lots of room for tools, polish, strings, rags...etc. Highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a neat storage/work station.

I really like the simple & functional design of this product - It does what it claims & is a great alternative to changing strings etc via a mat or pile of pillows. That being said, it's a bit overpriced & feels more like a $50 item. Nevertheless, it certainly a useful tool.

I had one of those roll up soft rubber type guitar maintenance stands that stores in a plastic tube and the bottom is the neck rest. It worked ok but the guitar would slip down off the pad and there was little space for the tools in the small storage area. The Grundorf is a better device. It keeps the instrument in the stand so no more sliding. Two minor things: The piano hinge mount screws were not offset so the case would not lay flat. I redrilled and moved the screws to cure that. And the tool compartment is plenty big enough but it does not enclose over the opening to keep the tools from falling out. With the case closed the tools can't fall out but upon opening they can. Minor but a flaw none the less. Keep in mind that if you have a jumbo or wide body guitar it will not fit completely into the bottom. I just turned the instrument so it would be laying in on one side.
