i got this throne to help my back out when playing. first time i sat on it behind my set, it was def. different than a standard round throne seat pad. sorta like you would fall off the front, but after 5 mins. of using it it, that feeling was gone. you can lean back into the seat and still have great control on the pedals. i would def. recommend this throne to anyone.

played with diffent bands till i was 31, then took a 19 year break due to "kids" and just got back into it.

Gibraltar quality for your butt! Talk about an upgrade from what I was using. Like I've seen in other reviews, it does take a bit of getting used to with the backrest but I really love the thing because when you're waiting or not playing, it just makes it that much more comfortable to sit in. If you don't have one, get one!!!!!!

Nice chair. Very comfortable, great back support. Has a bit of weight to it. Good quality and height adjustable. I use it as my producing/engineering chair with my computer desk. Instead of kicking drums, Im clicking mouses. So cool.
