I've been playing guitar for over 30 years. I've owned over five Gibsons in that time, the SG being one of my favorite. This particular one caught my eye because it was an SG with P90s. It did not disappoint, and even exceeded my expectations. The neck and fret board are perfect. The action is slow and bendy. You literally feel like you can easily move up and down the fret board because you can. The guitar has three unique pickup positions, that are surprisingly different in sound and very usable for many things. The pickups are well made, loud, and bring an extra flair to the guitar itself. It is the best P90 Gibson I have played in a while. The craftsmanship is on point. The sale package is amazing and comes with a hard case, and several accessories. The weight of the guitar is perfect and light. I haven't been able to stop playing it.

After reading that Gibson’s quality control was getting back to a good place, I decided to purchase this guitar. Noticed out of the box that the frets weren’t polished very well and a little rough above the 14th fret and there was tiny hairline cracks on the necks finish. The frets seemed to play fine and I knew I’d eventually sand the neck down as I cannot stand glossy necks. Would much rather polish the frets a little than deal with sending it back. After a few weeks of everything seeming fine I decided to reposition the strap buttons to combat the neck dive. A couple more weeks went by and suddenly the volume would cut out now and then and continued to get worse to the point where there was only one volume position that worked on each of them and the pickups sounded like a muddy mess. Took guitar to a luthier and had things checked out then replaced both pots and the issue remained. Ended up having to put all new electronics in the cavity. Was a pain but now it sounds killer and I’m in love with it! Just take it as a warning, there are much safer bets out there for much cheaper
