I was looking for an SG that I can use as my "workhorse" guitar. I love P90s, and Gibson still makes one of the finest P90s on the planet, with great detailed midrange, sweet highs, and tight low end. I was instantly pleased when I opened the bag (which is a sad choice for protection, but makes great guitars affordable), and the rich color is gorgeous. The guitar unplugged has a loud, chiming acoustic sound, and the chimey, 3 dimensional quality carries on when you plug it in. The finish is perfect, and the bridge, tailpiece, and tuners do their job perfectly. The only issue with this instrument, is the fact that single coil pickups hum. I don't see it as a problem. It's the nature of the beast. Don't hesitate to buy this guitar.

I have played many a year and many a model Gibson SG and this is one of the nicest I have played. The fit and finish is perfect on mine. The neck is very comfortable and fast. It came set up great. I did lower the action a tad. The relief in the neck was fine and after lowering the action I have no buzzes or fretting out. Did I mention these P90s rock! Just an all around great and fun guitar. Gibson got it right on this one including the pricing.
