I purchased this guitar, and I am glad I did. The first thing I noticed after the 'unboxing' was how light this guitar really is. It is a pleasure to hold, and to play, and arrived 'ready to go' other than minor tuning. The action was right where I like it. The satin nitro finish is a real eye-catcher as well, and feels absolutely "right" in the hands. Right away, the quality of this J-45 came through. The guitar really 'sings', in a way that is felt, as much as heard. Acoustic guitarists will understand that quality immediately. I own, and have owned, a good number of acoustic guitars and I have never had one that was this 'open' out of the box, or that telegraphs the vibrations throughout the body like this one does. And the voicing is wonderful across the entire range from low bass notes to high tenor notes. One truly can feel the music this guitar produces. I am very happy with this guitar, and know it to be the best I have ever owned - and one of the very few truly great sounding acoustics I have ever played. I look forward to many years of enjoyment from this instrument, and to nothing but even more enjoyment as the wood ages and opens up even more.

I'm so happy with this guitar. I sold my last Gibson acoustic 25 years ago and am so fortunate to get another. Yes , I have the same finishing issues as everyone else does with this model. For a "custom shop", not a great showing. Must have been a fire drill in the factory that day haha. Other than that, it's perfect. The scale length and 12" radius are just what I needed. So hard to find an acoustic like that. Sounds great, plays great, looks great, smells great. And puts a smile on my face when I play it. What more do you need?

Received my first j45 from zZounds. Well packaged, beautiful guitar, sounds great, finish is great except on the back side it looks like the sanding process left a pertruding line about 6 to 8 inches from the edge on bottom upwards, it might be glue . The neck has a little bit more relief than it needs, but that is why they install they’re own patented truss rod.Have my d’adarrio triple humidipack in the case for a week and then I’ll set it up properly after it rehumidifies , It is awful dry! Will let you know more when this process is over. All guitars go through this after being built to the time it gets to the customer. I wish Gibson would put the humidity control in the case so that the guitar would not dry out so much while between in storage and purchase.
