I have a 2022 SG standard that needed a little more "kick" in the bridge pickup. The original 490t was good for 60's and 70's music, but I had to turn the distortion up to get what I needed for 80's rock. As hard as I tried to convince myself to like it, something was always missing in the sound. The 498t is the answer. Awesome distortion and a fuller sound when needed, and roll back the volume slightly when not. Makes this guitar so versatile.

I just took delivery of this Gold Gibson Hot Humbucker. I have had a wide range of Humbuckers from DiMarzio to Duncan. Both quality, but not the pickup sound that I was seeking. I installed this new Gibson Humbucker in the bridge position and instantly gave me the sound I was looking for. Articulate chords, clean lead tones that didn't "Bark" in the high registers. So glad I made this purchase!!
