I am not a Les Paul electric player. I am no longer a working musician. Im an engineer with a long time love for music, instruments, and especially great acoustic guitars. I bought this guitar because i wanted a Gibson acoustic in my collection of mostly custom made-to -my-specifications acoustics. All of my acoustics are grand auditorium or dreadnought size, so I wanted something smaller, more comfortable to play at home, when I am writing songs or just playing old favorites for fun. But, 65 years of playing have made me picky and have taught me how to appreciate a well designed, well made guitar. The Les Paul Parlor guitar checks all of my boxes for a great acoustic. It is absolutely beautiful in cherry red. The workmanship is excellent with nice attention to detail and Les Paul aesthetic. It plays great. The neck is very comfortable and perfectly set. It sounds amazing right out of the box. I immediately changed strings to Elixer HD Light phosphor bronze(sorry Gibson). The tone is nice and full with very good tonal balance. Most importantly, I am excited to play it. Thanks Gibson!
