Gibson 2015 Les Paul Traditional Electric Guitar (with Case)

The Les Paul Traditional skimps on nothing -- it boasts a solid mahogany body with no weight relief and a thicker maple neck for truly classic feel.

I had a LP custom a long time ago - I had to sell it. Finally - a got another! Very happy with it - 2015 Trad. There are differences with the new Les - 'robo tuners', wide fingerboard, a few other things. This one sounds very nice - I think a littler cleaner than the old one. Everyone makes a big deal over the robo tuners - it's really not. They are 'strange' - but if you don't like them - don't use them. The fingerboard is going to take a little time to get use to - but so far - I like it. Setup wasn't that bad right out of the box. Very happy with zZounds.com - got it on the 12 payment plan - that is GREAT! Got it quickly and it was in great condition - no problems with the shipping. All in all - very happy with my new Les

I was a little hesitant to order a guitar without first taking it for a test run. But I figured I would give it a shot since I know the style of music I like to play, the action I like on a guitar, etc. I figured the only drawback would be 'true color' representation of the instrument itself. If I received it and it was not as good as the pic, I would send it back. Well, I ordered it, it arrived, and it was even better looking than in the pics on the website! Would definitely go this route again to buy another guitar! Thanks zZounds!

"About Gibson les Paul 2015 traditional"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

It's a great guitar ! Solid body full of sustain...great tones from 59 humbucers (actually I like them most. Played with the 57's too . I also played with 2014 and 2016 models traditional and standard) Liked the heavier (non relief body) in traditional les pauls and comparing them with standard models the difference was noticeable. I hesitate to by this guitar because of the brass nut and the g-force robotic tuning system negative reviews in the net. But when I played with the newer 2016 models I couldn't find the tones I found in the 2015 model so I decide to by the guitar and " take the risk" to remove the g force in case I find it dysfunctional. I am fully satisfied with the guitar and the nut and the g force !!! It is flawless I tested the accuracy with my tuner and different software tuners like amplitube 2 & 3 . Ofcourse I read the 30 page manual before I touched the tuner...

Fantastic guitar! I recently purchased a 2015 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Limited Edition Mahogany Top and loved it so much that I wanted another with a maple top. This guitar does not disappoint in any way, shape or form! Like the 2015 Mahogany Top, it has no weight relief, XL neck, wider nut and G-Force tuning system and an awesome case. Please try one out for yourself and ignore the negative hype all over the net and the forums: it's likely those naysayers have never touched the instrument and are purists in terms of the Historic Collection specs. If you play one, you'll be sold! All of my friends who've played my various Les Pauls grudgingly agree that these 2015 Traditionals are superior even to those other fine instruments. Like a lot of folks, I was apprehensive to try one out: I'm not a great fan of chance on Les Pauls so the new logo, hologram sticker and robot tuners were not aesthetically up my alley but after I played one, I was really hooked! I purchase a guitar to play, not admire. That said, this guitar is beautiful and definitely has that sex appeal that the most beautiful of the vintage Les Pauls possess. All of the new features for 2015 really add to the ease of playing, which is what it's supposed to be all about. As Jim, the Master Luthier states: Gibson USA ahs different collections for different players; those wrapped up in the vintage, nit-picky, nerdy details will not necessarily like the robot tuners or the different Les Paul 100 logo but again, feature-wise, this thing is pretty much a USA 1958-1959 Reissue with modern touches. It sounds fantastic, plays amazingly right out of the box and the fit and finish are first rate in every way. I also own a 2103 Standard Premium Plus Quilt, a 2001 Classic and a 1958 Historic Collection Reissue. I love them all, but my 2015 Traditional are by far my best-playing and sounding-even better than my former favorite, the 1958 Reissue. Oh yeah, and the 2015 guitars cost thousands less than my R8. If I had to get rid of all of my guitars except one, I'd be keeping one of my 2015 Gibson Les Paul Traditionals for sure!! Sadly, the negative buzz generated by some people on the net have caused Gibson to eliminate these features from the 2016 models which is a shame. These guitars will eventually be discovered by players a few years from now and likely appreciate in value and perhaps Gibson will reintroduce these awesome features, which were actually player-generated, not simply pulled out of thin air so as to appear progressive. These are an excellent value and I've noticed are suddenly running out so please, do yourself a favor and pick one up ASAP!

Fantastic Guitar! Great sound, awesome neck! Fit, finish all excellent! I loved my 2015 Les Paul Traditional Limited Edition Mahogany Top so much that I wanted to get the maple top version as well! I own 5 Les Paul guitars: Historic R8, 2013 Standard, 2001 Classic and two 2015 Traditional; all are great but if I had to get rid of all but one, a 2015 Traditional would be the one I keep!!
