I'll always be satisfied with it, and I will immediately begin looking for another Gibson to buy. What can I say, they are addictive, and the LP Standard and above models ALWAYS wind up being worth more than you pay for them a couple of years down the road.
If stolen if would be war! I would certainly take my insurance money and buy another of these, they are THAT COOL!
Sound
This guitar sounds absolutely amazing. Of course it's noisy as hell with your amp in go-go mode because of the single coils, but that doesn't stop the tone. It's classic, so live with it.
Clean is to die for. It has that nice snappy, growly clean that P90's are prized for.
Features
Features are as bare-boned as any Les Paul. the bridge cannot be adjusted for intonation becaus eof the solid soapbar wrap-around bridge but mine is only off a few cents on 2 strings up on the higher frets. You don't notice it but I'm fussy.
Everything is top notch components as would be expected from a Gibby.
Ease of Use
Huh? You pick it up, crank up amp, and play.
Quality
Workmanship is better than most Gibby's. Even the paint is flawless, whereas most LP's have that ripple along the neck joint. This one does not have it - paint is perfect. The neck is very comfortable and the action sets up very low and fast. Once you pick it up you won't want to put it down.
Value
All Gibby's are expensive, but they are only making 542 of these so it is guranteed to be worth more in the not too distant future than you will pay for it today. If you don't get one now they will all be gone and if you want one then you'll pay a lot more.
Manufacturer Support
In the past when I have dealt with Gibson they bent over backwards to make sure I was happy. I can't see why this would change.
The Wow Factor
It's a no-brainer. It'll become more valuable the longer you own it as long as Gibson doesn't make any more.
Sexy? A Gold top Les Paul; are you kidding? It doesn't get sexier than that!
It's one of the best feeling LP's I own. The neck is not too big, not too small, and sets up low and fast. It allows you to play sexy or scream. Everybody that sees it wants to play it, and then they don't want to give it up. I should buy 2 because I think this one will get worn out.
