My last LP was purchased through zZounds - a 2016 Gibson Les Paul Traditional in Honey Burst. What an incredible guitar - thick fat sound, sustain forever, stunning looks, a perfect neck, and a back breaking 10 lbs. After years of gigging that guitar, I could no longer play it more than 30 minutes standing before the aches and pains of my back and knees starting showing their age when a 10 lb guitar was on my shoulders. I ended up selling all my guitars that were over 8 lbs, and started playing hollow bodies and thinner guitars. However, nother ever played as well as my 2016 traditional. I had seen LP lites before, but they always had the awful 60s slim taper neck, or the 2015 wide neck. Then, one day, I came across this beauty. It had all the previous specs of my traditional LP, same color, same perfect neck, but 7 lbs and a belly cut! Wow, i wanted it. Wow, the prices have gone up as well. Half the LP, but same price or more. Anyway, pulled the trigger on it and couldn't be happier. Feels like my old traditional without the weight. My perfect LP :). Not sure why these are not more popular because they really are a unicorn find.
