I always wanted a Les Paul Standard and now I have one. I've previously owned a Studio and Deluxe but could never could afford a Standard. Thanks for zZounds payment plan and deal, I can finally afford a Standard for just about 2k. The Cardinal Red paint job looks so beautiful, it's absolutely eye candy and it sounds amazing as well. I always use Alnico 2 so I don't have to change a thing internally. The accessory bag/kit that came with it is a great bonus too. It includes Gibson guitar strap, cloth to wipe it down, blank truss rod cover, keys to lock the case, and Gibson tool device that includes truss rod wrench, screwdriver, flatheads to adjust and set up thr guitar. I will definitely continue to make all my purchase through zZounds as I have before. Thanks yall.

Took delivery last Friday and let me tell you,the pics do it no justice. You have to see it in person to fully appreciate what a beautiful guitar it is. I was a little apprehensive about the burst bucket 1 and 2 but with the right amp you can go from Buddy Holly to Slash to Alice In Chains with no problem. It especially likes classic rock. The audio tapered pots are cool. When rolled back to 7 it actually sounds like 7 as with all the other vol numbers. Am so happy with my purchase, absolutely no regrets.

The color on this guitar is beautiful and sure enough its a les paul some things to keep in mind1. no weight relief mine is heavy and weighs in at 12.6 pounds be ready for yours to be atleast around the 9 pound mark2. nitrocellulose finish will age over time and it can get a little sticky when playing3. lovely playability on mine plays like a dream and the frets are buttery4. The neck on mine is big bigger and rounder than my last gibson 50s almost R9 like type of baseball bat neck5. For the younger players the PAF pick ups are not gonna sound like active pups you will need to dial in more gain via the amp to get the metal tones you are used too6. Mine did have a very very small bit of finish contaminants on the inside of the lower horn. In the clear coat near the binding but overall im happy with the guitar. I wont send it back over such a small innocuous imperfection but i can see why someone else might not be so tolerant.7. Gibson have changed guitar cases back to better quality TKL cases so im enjoying that upgrade
