The 50's Standards are incredible instruments. The first thing I noticed when I opened the case was the spectacular flame maple top and the awesome translucent fuchsia finish. Next, I pulled the Les Paul out of the case tuned it, hit a chord and noticed how well the guitar resonated unplugged. The fit and finish is superb. The guitar is rock solid and you can feel the quality of the instrument. The Burstbucker pickups sound great clean or dirty. Simply put, this is an heirloom quality instrument that will exceed your expectations.

"broken nut"

it arrived with a broken nut and I couldn't get it to intonate.the saddles were wrong. I sent it back for a replacement and I hope this next one is in better shape.

don't let my experience stop you from purchasing anything from zzounds. I just got a bad product that was not their fault. I have purchased 4 guitars, 1amp head, 6 piece drum kit, and electric drums. also countless accessories and never had a issue. I would recommend them over any competitors.
