Gibson Gary Moore Tribute Les Paul Electric Guitar (with Case)

Modeled after the late '50s Les Paul that Gary Moore acquired from the legendary Peter Green, this LP even has the neck pickup reversed like the original.

This is not my first Les paul but it is the first Les paul I have received that doesn't need any setup done on it. My last 4 les pauls ( 2012 standard, custom classic, 2013 traditional and the epi joe bonamassa) all had work done on them at my local shop. Setup, bone nut and I was truly happy when Gibson went to graphite nuts with the 2014 models. I expected to have to take this one to the shop also but just like the 2011 60's tribute I sold last year (great guitar BTW) nothing needs improving in the setup and nut dept. Unboxed it, tuned it up and it stays in tune. No binding of the G string or any string in the nut. Also has a LOCKING tonepros bridge and tailpiece. Major plus. Now look at the flame top. If you want a flame top like this on a les paul your going to pay a hell of alot more for it. Back when the Gary moore signature model was being designed it was Gary's desire to put a affordable players guitar in the fans hands. Try to get a tribute model like rory gallaghers for 2100.00. Check out any of the tribute or signature models and they all cost a couple thousand more. Don't let the fingerboard turn you off either. Great feel and plenty of sustain and tone. I went over this baby and not one flaw. I have been a fan of Gary's for years and if you look at the concert footage especially garys tribute concert to phyll lynott you'll see this is exactly like his. Maybe a pickup change but that was his preference. What you have here is a standard(not a studio with a pretty cap) without binding but thats just the way Gary wanted it. Its a looker and a awesome player too. Btw the neck has a nicer feel then my traditional. A gigging musicians guitar for sure.

I've purchased many Gibson Les Pauls over the years, BUT this is by far my favorite, looking sounding, and playing! Beautiful. Tone drips from this guitar, and the sustain...! Flame Top... I look at it more than I play it- well...!!! Buy one before they are gone!!

I have played various Gibson guitars but none compare to the care and quality that was put into this guitar. After a slight setup the guitar was perfect. Complete tone monster. A fitting tribute to Gary Moore.

The Gary Moore Tribute Les Paul Standard does everything a guitar should and more. It's has the looks, style and of course more importantly the sound. As expected, the guitar was perfect out of the box. I did change the strings because I prefer 11 gauge and for them to be wrapped around the tail piece. As far as string height and intonation goes, it was perfect. The sound of the guitar is incredible. The Burstbucker II &III's do their job granting sweet sustain and many variations of tone. Overall, the guitar feels nice and plays great. It is definitely a new favorite in my collection.
