The reviews on the Gibson website for this guitar (mostly about the finish) are a little unkind. I got guitar last month (scratch and dent special) and is a keeper. I think "rock turquoise" finish looks really good. The guitar does have some weight (over 9 pounds) but then it is a Gibson les paul. This guitar has some nice stuff on it, 60s slim taper neck, burstbuster pickups, and grover tuners. the sound of the guitar is very good no matter what style of music you play, and the 15db boost is quite nice. This is a very solid les paul classic. As I mentioned before it is a keeper.

Excellent work of art from top to bottom. Great sound, easy to chord. I play on my Marshall DSL100H half stack and the sound whether in classic or ultra is astonishing. This guitar is limited meaning its no longer made. If you have any luck finding one don't hesitate to jump on it.

I bought the Marble top on clearance at a great price reduction and I am blown away with this LP. I own a custom shop axcess, Standard hp, and this guitar hangs with both of them, no weight relief, burstbuckers, i love the gforce tuners, the look, and most of all the feel and sound, this is definitely a Keeper. all five stars, sound wouldn't let me do 5 stars after i hit 4.

"A little comment on the finish "

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Great finish on top and body, but would look kind of neat with a white, instead of a black binding. I like the inlays and the standard Les Paul model logo on the head stock. Otherwise great setup, with the burst bucker pickups and boost switch. The G-force tuners make tuning up a breeze and for those who like to experiment with alternate tunings. As it has been mentioned, if you find one of these LP's buy it,

Heavy and a little bulky as they are, but it's perfection. The finish on this is specially impressive. It's so beautiful I rather display it as art than play it, but it sounds amazing! Nothing like a Gibson :)

i have to say if it wasnt for zZounds i wouldnt have the collection of guitars and amps i have. they make easy their customer service is outstanding and unlike the other major stores no interest on your payments 12 months and your done. the les paul i got was out of this world PRO burstbucker pickups, AAA maple, ORANGE DROP CAPS, custom flamed finish i could go on and on but the two most important things, how it plays and the cost, i felt like i hit the jackpot it plays like a dream set up right out of the box, i usually don't like to say the cost but i am this time 1049.00$ not even a blemish model,no tax.no delivery charge. i wouldnt have such a fine collection if it wasnt for zZounds THANK YOU i will be buying alot more so should you!!

"Beautiful Turquoise, Awesome LP sound"

The finish is fantastic as are the pickups, the 15db boost the neck (if you like slim taper "60s") and the sound. My turquoise model is less "over the top" than I thought it might be, which is a merit in my opinion. The only negatives are the price and some minor quality control issues. My guitar was a Blem with a tiny rough patch on the side by a strap button. It can likely be buffed out. The other issue is that I can see where the mahogany body pieces were joined. This does not affect the tone, but is still irritating considering the brand and the price. Overall, I am very happy with it. It is a keeper...love the turquoise so fitting for Arizona!
