This is my 3rd purchase with Zzounds and my second Gibson Les Paul. Guitar came quickly with standard shipping and was packaged great. What can I say but its a Gibson Les Paul!, this guitar is Awesome! With the double coil tap pick ups and 15db gain switch you can play any style of music with this guitar. The solid body has great sustain and sweet tones. Came with a very nice hard shell case and as far as dealing with Zzounds I would Highly Highly recommend them and I will continue to purchase with them.

This is my actual first Gibson Les Paul, I own an epiphone Les Paul and although that is a really good guitar this one just feels and sounds better. A lot of attention to detail was put on this guitar....it plays well and sounds great and when you look at it you know it's a high quality guitar. As always I got it through zzound's play as you pay program and I got it in 2 days. I am a loyal zzounds customer because they aim to please their customers.

Probably the best all around Les Paul. I have a couple others which were more expensive and more true to their roots, but they don't have the versatility of this one. Still as heavy as a concrete necklace, but nobody's perfect :-)

Musical Background:

Been playing in bands since 1963. Collecting guitars nearly as long.

"2015 Gibson Les Paul Classic"

This is my first Gibson that I have ever purchased and I love it. I've never been a big fan of Gibsons (more into Fender) because of the weight and high price; I only really liked the Classics and Custom Classics. I wanted to reach that milestone of owning a Gibson, but of course they are still expensive. Luckily I found zZounds and they are able to do play to pay payments. It took a good five days for my order to get shipped and to my address. I have to say, I was really excited just looking at the box that said Gibson. I opened it up to the new Gibson case (which I'm guessing it is as everyone I've shown say it is the newer case models). Inside I found a beautiful seafoam green Gibson Les Paul Classic with all of the candy in the case - authentication, owner's manual, instruction manual and charger for the new G-Tuner battery. I have to say, this guitar is very versatile and great. I've needed something that could do everything - classic rock, experimental/progressive rock, alternative, etc. I love that it is split-coil and also have a 15db turbo boost! The guitar is smooth to the touch and is pretty light weight (about 10-12lbs and I am use to that weight now). The pups are Zebra 57 classic humbuckers which are pretty good (not compared to those gibson burstbuckers). The pickguard is removable for those who think pickguards aren't metal. The neck fretboard radius is amazing and has a good thickness to it - not too wide and great for bending and whatnot. I use D'Addario NYXL 9-42 and it's just fabulous feel and bend. The guitar has a zero nut which is cryogenically frozen when made (still feels cold to the touch!) and is already setup right so no need to mess with that. What is really captivating is the G-Force tuning system. It took me about 3 hours to figure how to use the whole system, mostly because of custom setting new tunings. There isn't much instructions how to set a new tuning so fiddling around is your best bet. All I know is that the blue is the custom setting, you click whichever blue you want to make a custom tuning, click the blue E, go to the A (which should be white I think) custom tune, when finished select whichever flashing blue you want the tuning to be set to and you're done! I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone who would want to own the new 2015 Gibsons or, like me, is into experimental rock and always changes tuning so you don't have to have so many guitars. I would not recommend this to those who are barely learning guitar and do not know anything about music theory and knowing the right tuning pitch. I've been playing for 10 years and currently own (besides this) a Squier VM Jazzmaster with Seymour Duncan Antiquity II's and a Fender Stratocaster Nitro Satin USA all going through a Fender Champion 100w 2x12.
Sound
The sound is phenomenal. No matter what you are playing - blues, country, alternative, indie, progressive/experimental, metal (with the 15db turbo boost) - you get that amazing sound! I will advise if you have an amp less than 50 watts (tubes excluded) you will only have an above the average sound. The Gibson needs to fly and sing and the only way to have that is to have a tube amp or a solid state +50w or just get a cabinet. Other than that, this guitar is very versatile with any genre you can just stick with this guitar as your main for anything!
Features
The most useful piece is the G-Force tuner. Of course, this is on all of the 2015 Gibson so why avoid it? It can help change tuning in seconds if you gig with it or change tunings a lot. The G-Force rarely gets out of tuning after mild playing, but I just retune before I start playing and double check if it is tuned correctly. I would not advise new guitarists to use this device and get something else until they know the full music theory of guitar and key pitch. The only least useable feature are the machine heads, which isn't bad. You are rarely going to use them unless you are setting a new custom tuning into the setting or if you like to be oldschool (2014 model oldschool) and tune yourself. I only have drop C#, drop C and C standard custom set; I have no need for any lower tunings.
Ease of Use
It is amazing how many great sounds you can get from this guitar. You can have HH, SH, HS, SS - don't forget about the 15db turbo boost and G-Force tuning system. You have a whole variety of settings you can use, which is why I love the Classic Les Paul's. The only thing you need to learn how to use is the G-Force but that is about it. Also how to restring the guitar since it has a locking set on the machine heads which helps keep the guitar in tune whenever you change tuning.
Quality
This guitar is made beyond superb. I honestly trust only Gibson to make a true American guitar with care (mostly because they give you a picture of the guitar in the warehouse). It feels like whichever Gibson you get, it was custom made for you. All of the parts and pieces put into the guitar was crafted with care and no problems whatsoever. Not a lot of people may get that feeling and just think "it's just a well-made guitar" but to me really it feels like we were meant to be (playing music).
Value
This guitar is worth the $2279 (I think that is the cost?). The detail, electronics, playability, everything lives up to be worth called Gibson. I do not think I would ever sell this guitar, probably just pass it down to the new generation or at least have it as a relic just in case the next generation kids become dub step and wub wub, then you can show them what real music was back then with these guitars.
Manufacturer Support
I have not yet reached out to the Gibson company yet - I know I need to fill out my warranty card soon. But most of the videos and reviews I've read of them it seems I can trust them if I need any help with my product. If we are talking about zZounds, yeah they are great and helped me out with all of the process.
The Wow Factor
This guitar is phenomenal. It is worth the value and variety it has. I would want this forever if I never got it really. The variety and genres it can do is so profound it beats having so many guitars to have different sounds and tuning when really you can have just this one.

I got this guitar to replace my '69 Gibson Les Paul Custom and am very glad I made the switch. The wider neck is fine. Great clear sounds. Nice finish. I like being able to take the pick guard off. So far, the G-Force tuner works good. The frets are a lot higher than the "fretless wonder", but sound good on the perfectly straight neck. Good value and should have a fair resale price. (I was going to leave the "Manufacturer Support' blank, but it wouldn't let me- I never contacted the manufacturer.)

Musical Background:

Playing since piano lessons in 3rd grade. This guitar is mostly for music at home, but I might get with a small band.

Musical Style:

Old rock.
