Gibson 2016 ES-335 Studio Electric Guitar (with Case)

While still capturing important features like '57 Classic and Super pickups, this ES-335 delivers a hot-rodded, utilitarian design at an incredible value.

I waited about 6 months to write a review (now paid for, thank you zZounds for Play as you Pay policy).Guitar is excellent. Wine red finish with black binding is stunning, better than my sunburst and cherry Gibsons. The neck feels great (initially I wasn't sure about baked maple), with unusually easy access to upper frets. 57 Classic and Super 57 Classic pickups deliver a warm, classic 335 tone with nice sustain. I got the Memphis 335 Studio for over $1,000 less than Memphis 335, and I am very satisfied. I have read a lot of negative things about Gibson, but this guitar and my Midtown Standard (with Grover tuners, not G-force), also from zZounds, are great. This has been confirmed by my very fussy guitar tech! I put 5 stars for Manufacturer Support which I haven't needed, but had to rate.
