I played this and it feels amazing. It looks like its gonna make you earn every note but it just delivers wherever you put your fingers. Hot tone from the pickups warm feel from the body. Way more comfortable than one would think. It would have your back in a street fight.

Well, as a Gibson fan for most of my life I had high hopes for this guitar. I have one Gibson Explorer already as well as the Epiphone Goth version. Both guitars are great and I really wanted a blacked out Gibson so after eyeing this guitar for about six months I decided to go for it.I was so excited I couldn't wait for this to arrive!! zZounds got it to me very quickly as usual, so when I unboxed it of course it had the cheap soft case but I already knew it would so out of the case, gave it a once over to look for any damage, check the finish etc. The first thing I noticed was the unfilled grain and the "satin" finish. No I call this faded, next thing I noticed the fretboard is dry as a bone, but hey I can fix that. Next I notice the fret ends are sharp, not cool but I guess I can file them. Onward! Tune it up, plug it in ready to rock!!! Nope! Fret buzz!! I thought they set this up at the factory, I have the baby photo! So anyway I raise the action up a bit - still buzzing, raise up up some more, too much for my liking - still buzzing. At this point I put it back in the case, back in the box and ship it back to zZounds, they received it and refunded my purchase very quickly. zZounds is such a great company, I have purchased a lot of guitars from them and talked to customer service a few times and they are awesome!! I will only buy from them because of their great customer service! Gibson on the other hand, they are not what they used to be. This guitar even if it worked correctly is not worth the price Gibson has set. My $500 Epiphone crushes this guitar in every way. Gibson should be embarrassed at this lack of quality an value!Just my opinion of course YMMV. My next guitar will be a Schecter.
