Overall I like playing the Fire bird. The 60's style neck fits pretty good with my hands. Normally i like a 50's Fatter Neck. Sounds Fantastic.
Sound
The Mini humbuckers have a distinct sound. I have them on my Original 1962 Epiphone Crestwood Custom. They have a sharper bite on the Bridge Pickup but can be dialed down for the Neck Pickup..
Features
The Cable Plug is on the bottom edge instead of the original next to the Tone Controls on the face of the body. Never used this Type of Tuners. Lock tight and it stays in tune.
Ease of Use
Neck is easy to play. Can reach all the frets..

Perfect Finish, Beautiful Guitar.
Value
Price keeps going up, Maybe a bit higher than I would like..

This guitar exceeded my expectations. It's lightweight, has a thick neck, and the tone is killer! The mini humbuckers give both punch and clarity that makes it great for playing metal, rock, blues, country, etc. A great all-round guitar.

Received my Firebird from zZounds on date expected no problems. This is my 6th Firebird over the last 10 years. Heritage Cherry finish is gorgeous, I have this on a Firebird VII also, this one is flawless. I picked this one out of six off the site,(cool feature). The guitar is everything I expected and more. I love Firebirds!! They center well on a strap and with the new gearless tuners no headstock diving like some earlier birds I own with the Banjo Tuners. Pup's excellent more clarity than regular buckers. The new placement of the input jack is nice also. I've been playing Gibson's for a long time and this one is as good if not better than any of them. Guitar is beautiful, with the tone you would expect from a Gibson ! Love the tuners , very accurate and holds tune extremely well ! Better rhythm sound than I expected , back off the volume knob and it cleans up nicely !

A buetiful guitar! Its hard to get used to if you've been playing Fenders. A great sound. Had to have the action readjusted, Minor stuff. Plays well. Great addition to the family. Love the tuners, wish all guitars had the same

Great guitar, I love the neck on this Firebird model, flat and wide like my favorite 335. Steinberger gearless tuners are fantastic, a nice improvement over the old banjo style ones. Weight and balance are perfect, sound is pure Firebird Mini Humbucker bliss, quickly becoming one of my favorite guitars! Thanks zZounds!

I could not be happier with my purchase of a 2014 used Gibson Firebird. It was sold as "blemished," but when it arrived, I was very pleased to see that it is in virtually brand new condition. I received and email once it shipped and I could track the shipping as it went across country and it arrived on the expect arrival date. The guitar is beautiful and the case is also in brand new condition.
