Been waiting for zZounds to begin shipping these Gator clamps so I eagerly ordered them immediately when I saw that they were available.Packaged very well. When you open the product you will see that there is no "left" or "right", both clamps are identical and will work fine no matter which side you put either one.I built my own desk so that I could make the most out of the relatively small space that I have, and these are a great addition to my workstation. I have my two gator clamps for the studio monitors clamped on either side of my external display which is clamped on also, so all of the surface area is available for keyboards, MPC, audio interface, MacBook, etc.Build quality is fantastic and solid. There is a slight adjustability for tilt angle and it was plenty for me.One thing I wish they had thought about is if you have your desk flush to the wall, you will not be able to clamp these on and turn the heads of these inwards towards your ears. This is because there is a bit of overhang on the rear due to the pole being mounted almost in the center on the platform at the top. I'm sure this is for durability, but it may be an annoyance for those that have desks flush to the wall.My one word of caution is that when you suspend studio monitors in this fashion, you will lose a lot of the tactile response that a lot of small studios are used to via the vibrations through the desk. It may not seem like a big deal but you will most definitely notice that you will no longer feel the strong vibration or rumbling from low end freqs and you will have to make a minor adjustment to the way that you process the "bass" or "rumble".Overall, I would buy this again if this set broke or if I needed another set for another workstation.I primarily use my workstation for music production and video editing, however late nights working on projects has pushed me to use my workstation for college work as well -in which these Gator clamps do a great job at making the most of the surface area you have available.
