This pickup absolutely works as intended and is a lightning fast install. Fishman provides all the resources to educate you on the process. This pickup is not designed as it's sold to just magically make synth or any other midi instrument sound. The intent is to connect this to your DAW and use midi instruments. Installing the software is straightforward and there are videos on how to use this controller in all major DAWs. There are some wireless versions and accessories that would work well for live use, but this is really for the DAW user. Calibration is easy as you can set the sensitivity levels for all 6 strings. Tracking works better for some instruments and not so much for others. You will have to try things and get a feel for it. Am I satisfied with my purchase from zZounds? 100% yes! Customer service is always A+ and shipping is lightning fast. I'm going to have access to so many soundscapes that I can control with a familiar skillset. Just be aware of what you're buying and more importantly, what you're not. Hopefully, most people that read tis review understand the home DAW world and this is review was helpful. If not, I hope to have brought clarification to those that were not quite sure.
