"Awesome sound."

I was given this guitar in compensation for a remodel job on a friends kitchen. I was very surprised when I played it for the first time. the tremolo system is soooo sensitive. I wish they would have put a tone knob on this guitar but the sound is really good. I am sorry they discontinued the 5 series. I would buy another.

Musical Background:

I have played for 20 years, I play with friends and family at home, not professionaly.

Musical Style:

I enjoy classic rock, but play a lot of blues and some reggae

"Great guitar for habitual string breakers."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I love my FR Model 5. I'm not too excited about the cost of a case of strings, but I am hoping that I will get the value out of not having to spend 15 mins to change a string.
Sound
Great pickups. They react really well to the volume knob. They go from nice a clean to extreme overdrive, especially on a tube amp.
Features
Love the speedloader, but you have to spend some time to set it up correctly.
Quality
Beautiful finish...it draws alot of attention.
Value
I bought this as a pre-serial number floor model...hence, the low price. A little expensive if I had to buy it regular retail. You could probably retrofit a good USA Strat with the speedloader and upgrade the pickups for a little less, but I guess it wouldn't be a Floyd Rose guitar then. Strings are very expensive! +$10 per set.
Manufacturer Support
Excellent! Very quick with responses to email
