Not bad. They are a perfect size for near field monitoring (10 inches ht). Im using the FPX7 in a medium sized room. The monitors have a small sweet spot. So when you're using them for critical listening, you have to stay in that ideal sweet spot. Out of the sweet spot, it can give you a different sense of the music. Once you're inside the sweet spot, they sound like oversized, open back headphones. Amazing! The frequency response is neutral. These monitors give you a good idea for vocal placement, while recording. For a 42 Hz cut, it has a nice low end, especially for hip-hop. Nothing sloppy. The AM tweeter is very detailed for checking sibilance and harsh artifacts when mixing or mastering. If Flagship monitors are a 10, these would be a 7, but overall, it's a great monitor for a small professional studio. I would recommend, to have a second pair of monitors to A/B, for a superior mix or master.
