I got this for someone as a gift and now I want one! It's more of a hard bag than your standard gig bag- all the way around is a shell of pretty stiff plastic. Everywhere else it is squishy soft, except for the tread areas. The backpack straps are stowable and super super comfy- similar to those on my $250 Mono bag. It has supreme padding for your back when you're wearing it like a backpack too; something my Mono bag does not have. Overall it is about as light as you could expect it to be. The endpin hole for protecting the bottom of the guitar is very well designed; a lot of good bags fail in this department. Your strap button is not going to cut a hole in the bottom of this. The pocket interior is a little different than what is pictured, but in a good way (who needs to store individual picks?). It's much more practical and the neatest part is there is a money pouch hidden in the bottom of the pocket that velcros in. So you can use it as a bank for your band's merch and have a good hiding place for it! How cool is that! The only downside is that since it is a hard bag design, it can not fold up. I haven't found any practical fault with it and I'd guess you'd get at least 5 years of heavy use out of it. It definitely crushes anything close to it in this category.
