Easy set up, great power for my needs. I also have a Bose L1m1 system but now I'm using the Fender Expo it's easy to setup don't need to connect the subwoofer like the Bose, only thing is, in my opinion you'll need a mixer for more sound flexibility and more inputs .. I love it. Hopefully it will last a long time.

"Fender Expo Sound"

The Fender Expo speaker system is a great system. I DJ small clubs and Big Parties. For small clubs the system is great. The sound is crisp, the bass is powerful and satisfaction overall is good. As for the claim that the system is good up to 300 people, not so much. It works great for the dance floor and beyond, but I had to pair the system with other speakers to reach the outer edges of the room. Don't get me wrong the sound was fantastic, but if it is a narrow room then the Expo would be perfect. I love my Expo. The sound is fantastic with plenty of punch. I planned on using it for small clubs and as a backup to my other speakers. For this I love it. But if you are wanting to do large rooms, You would want to but two of these systems, which is still cheaper than buying a Bose.

I use to carry two speakers with two 12" in both of them, a 1200 watt amp, cable bag and Dj controller. It would take me about 30 min to set up and then do sound check. i just switched over to the Expo system and did a function at a hall the held about 600 people. It took me all of 10 min to set up do a sound check and start to play. The sound was so full and clear that I had people to stop dancing to come and check out the system i was using, so much that the people that worked at the ball room came and asked me about it because they wanted to change from the system they had to the Fender EXPO system. I love it, but make sure that you get the protection bags, I was not aware that they had them and my problem is keeping it protected for now.

I have been in the DJ field for over 20 years, just on small scale of no more then 300 people.

I love my new expo system. I have been a fan of the Fender Passport Systems and Fender products in general. I play acoustic shows 3 or 4 gigs a week and the expo is going to make my life easier. Plus it sounds great. Hook it up to the mixing board and you get tones of volume out of this thing. Think ill be using it for a long time.

The system has worked better for me in small venues than my Bose Model 1 Classic. I like the volume controls on the mains and bass, and the fact that I can send a more signal without getting too loud. Very happy.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and sound of these these speakers. They re very well built and the sound is crisp and sharp. The bass is prevalent however if you're gonna use these for a venue of 50-100 people, I would add a single 15" sub or 2 12" subs.

Upon receiving the Fender EXPO System PA I set it up...very easy setup! I plugged in my IPOD an the sound was sweet and powerful. I bought it to be a right side main to my Bose S1B1 main which was on the left side of my mixer board. To get balanced sound using the XLR input I had to crank the Fender EXPO System PA to maximum volume whereas the Bose system was set at less than 1/3 volume. I switched the XLR with the XLR used for the Bose and had the same result. Both the Bose S1B1 and the Fender EXPO System PA were purchased at zZounds.com. Don't let anyone tell you that the Fender System is just as good as the Bose because they are lying. If you are going to use the IPod and an 1/8 inch jack as a stand alone system I recommend the Fender EXPO System PA ... but pay the extra money for the Bose system if you are gigging. I have not contacted the manufacturer for support yet...that is why there is one star on the rating for that category.

"Anthony A comparison of Fender Expo and Bose"

I'm considering a purchase of the Fender Expo and I read Anthony A's review. Correct me if I am wrong but it appears to me he is Comparing the $699 Expo to the Bose $1995 system. Not a fair comparison in my opinion. Comparing to the Bose L1 Compact system at $999 would seem to be more useful. Does anyone have personal experience on the latter two for comparison. Would surely be useful information for me.

"The expo Rocks!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I was happy to have found.... when Fender was blowing them out. To me easily comparable in sound and volume to the Bose with Sub package... though I paid $500 versus $2000 for the bose.My only grip this far is the array is a bit cumbersome to transport with it being one piece. Well.... and no bluetooth.I play background tracks out of it along with my steel pan drum.I have played it outdoors..... and indoors. Even for an art gallery gig.... where it easily setup in the corner and filled the whole floor.Great investment. I bought 2.If you can find one.... I would not hesitate. If you cannot... I think the LD maui 11 is comparable.
