"A Shiny Love Afffair"
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
If I had to get rid of some my guitars, i would keep this and my Martin acoustic above any others
Sound
I Love my Aerodyne Tele..... That classic Tele twang is always there with this shiny beauty, every time i pick it up, i go for the clean twang and relish the tone.. but with the neck pickup i can get softer jazz lounge tone, if you play with the selector and tone knob you get lost in a whole world of tones .
to me it's every guitar in a shiny curved tele shape and whether you play chords or lead you'll slide effortlessly over the smooth frets..
Try one .. if you see one in a shop.. have a go... I DARE YOU.. you won't be leaving the shop without it
Features
Simple Simple Simple.. that's the key here, every part on this is tried and tested fender, quality oozes from this relatively budget guitar.
you get the usual Tele bridge pickup, but the neck pickup is not standard tele, (I'm no techie) it's bigger and fatter (as is the sound),
Two knobs, one for Volume and one for tone, and one three position pickup select switch.
everything in the body is installed from the back, via two holes covered by inset coverplates giving a smooth back, but more importantly, an uninterrupted smooth radiused front.. the predominant feature of this black piano lacquered body, set off with cream edge binding.. mmmm
Ease of Use
Simple again, no surprises, everything is where you expect, it's a seamless connection of player and guitar.. and as it's so light for a tele, you can just enjoy the experience.
Quality
Fit and finish are top quality, as you would expect from a Japanese Fender, the lacquer is smooth and resilient, and has a lovely warm feel
Value
Value for money is a phrese which springs to mind, but doesn't do the quality justice, as it implies it's built to a price, there's little to distinguish this from a top custom Fender, except for lack of fancy superfluous decoration..
Manufacturer Support
never had to contact Fender or anyone over this guitar
The Wow Factor
You know you want one, just look at it.. I still look at it on the stand in my house and try playing little games, like, not looking at it for a while, then looking at it, to see if I still like it........ and I do...

"Pure Class"
Simply put, the best telecaster money can buy. If it was stolen, i would devote my life to finding the guy that stole it, beat him to death with it, then wipe the blood from its still flawless gloss black body and walk away strumming into the sunset.
Sound
This guitar brings the best of two different worlds and crams them into one guitar. The traditional bridge tele pickup delivers that classic tele twang that makes the telecaster, well, a telecaster. The neck pickup is a sweet p-90 pickup, very similair to the one used in Jazzmasters. This gives you a very rich jazzy, bluesy sort of sound, smoother than K-Y jelly. The Middle position really delivers a different kind a sound, a very unique, practical mix of the two.
Features
Its a tele, all Business. The tuners keep the guitar in tune forever, the finish will survive the nuclear holocaust,And the p-90 makes it unique to any other guitar out there.
Ease of Use
Its a tele, all business. Plug and play, as easy as that. BUt the variety of sound you can get out of it makes it something that you can play around with for hours. Youll get the jist of the guitar in minutes, but it would take a lifetime to learn all the nuances of this guitars unique sound, time well spent.
Quality
Utter perfection. I gig without a backup frequently.
Value
Forget this guitar about being good "for the money", cuz its not, its just good. Id stack it up against americans or mexicans any day. id rather have a guitar made by a japanese, because when it comes right down to it, it doesnt matter if its a mexican fender or an american fender, there both made by mexicans.
Manufacturer Support
never had to deal with fender because the aerodyne is a rock, but i understand you have to know someone whos in with a rep to get any real service.
The Wow Factor
This is easily the best looking guitar ive ever seen. I dont even like teles, in fact i hated the tele look. But the sheer class exuded by this plank is immense. It reminds me of a grande piano.

"A Lover !"
even after my fingers don't work anymore I'll love this axe.
Sound
I have been playing almost 40 years...(sheeeesh)...I have owned many guitars and still do...what a unbelievable masterpiece this guitar is...replace the 3 position toggle switch and you are the proud owner of a world class instrument...its a tone generating Hercules with as sexy a body and finish you'll ever find on any guitar...this axe could have only been made with pride "Crafted In Japan"...not assembled...not "made in"...not manufactured by but "Crafted In Japan"...cost way too much to have it "Crafted In Japan"...not nearly enough money to be made by Fender to continue offering this beauty for sale so now you have to find one to buy...better hurry the "cats out of the bag"
Features
replace the toggle switch and it's purrrrfect....
Ease of Use
natural alinement with player....Plays like "Butter"...
Quality
well made...understatement...touch one and feel bliss.
Value
players only wish they could buy one at its original price..."Mint"condition used ones are going for almost double the original price.
Manufacturer Support
It's a "Crafted In Japan" high end piece of art...what support do you need.
The Wow Factor
dripping with sex appeal...I said that way up on top....

"My first Tele"
As a novice I was lookiing for something reliable, reasonably priced, with a good sound and a great look. I got that and more with this guitar.I bought this off a player who was moving and needed to reduce his inventory and get some quick cash.I could be starving and I would never sell this baby.Great feel and sound,I quicly put away my other guitars Gretsch Electromatic and Takemine for use in special cases. The Tele is my everyday guitar.
